Transition Series 2017: Canceled

Due to low registration, the Transition Series workshop is canceled. However, every month at our Futures Planning meeting we cover several of the same topics that would’ve been discussed at Transition Series. Anyone with a particular need is welcome to join the Futures Planning meetings and/or contact the ALLY Advocacy Directors for an individual consult, free of charge!

Paxton Campus will be holding its next TRANSITION SERIES for families with young adults (ages 14-22) who will soon be transitioning out of school. The seminars will have one track only, for parents (and/or guardians, caretakers, or adult siblings).

**Attendance for both sessions is required for the parent/caretaker

This program is free for members of The Arc of Loudoun (click HERE to learn about membership) and $45 for non-members.

This 2-day workshop is a structured educational event designed to empower families and individuals with disabilities as they transition from school services to the maze of systems in “the real world.”  Each series provides educational programming in the areas of Medicaid Waivers, Social Security Insurance, Employment, Special Needs Trusts, legal authority, transportation, Law Enforcement Safety, LCPS Transition Services, Recreation, Social Relationships and Futures Planning for families with young adults with disabilities.

Last year’s program was a huge success… the parents/caretakers truly enjoyed the time they spent in the program.

Space is limited.  Click HERE for an Application.
