Jennifer Lassiter, Executive Director, ext 104— Jennifer received her BA in English and Education from San Diego State University and her Juris Doctorate from George Mason School of Law. Jennifer joined The Arc of Loudoun in April 2000 as a member of the Board of Directors, then later as its “Parent to Parent” coordinator, establishing parent support and discussion groups. In 2003, Jennifer helped start The Aurora School and served as its volunteer Director in its first year of operation. In 2005, Jennifer became the Administrative Director and began working on the Paxton project, negotiating the lease and securing funding for the expansion of The Arc of Loudoun to the Paxton Campus. Since the Margaret Paxton Memorial Learning and Resource Campus (“Paxton Campus”) was established in 2008, Jennifer has worked to expand The Aurora School programs to establish relationships with George Mason University Behavior Analyst, Education, and Psychology departments and expand the services Aurora offers to students and the community. In 2009, Jennifer also became the Associate Executive Director of The Arc of Loudoun tasked with new program development and expansion, which led to the creation of Open Door Learning Center, a Preschool that serves children with and without disabilities; STEP Up (Supported Training and Employment Program) Transition services to help adults with disabilities live and work independently; and the ALLY (“A Life Like Yours) Advocacy Center, including “Maggie’s Closet” that is run by volunteers and adults with disabilities and allows families in need to shop for free . Jennifer has been Executive Director since December 2011. She enjoys attending St James Episcopal Church in Leesburg and lives in Round Hill with her two daughters, Katelyn and Elle.
Tammy Goddard, Campus Services Coordinator, ext 202—Tammy received her undergraduate degree from George Mason University in Psychology, and has taken several post graduate classes for School Counseling. She was a peer counselor at GMU, and active in the Big Brother, Big Sister program for seven years through the Fairfax Dept of Family Services, and is currently in her third year as a Girl Scout leader, and loves working with the community, especially in the areas of giving back. She transitioned to ALLY from The Aurora School. At ALLY she works with our adult rep payee clients and self advocates, manages Maggie’s Closet and provides support to various programs including the social skills groups and our teen Asperger groups. Tammy lives in Leesburg with her husband and two children.
